Etymologie / Etymology:
	Ophrys:	griechischer Pflanzenname, von ophrys = Augenbraue / Greek plant name, from ophrys = eyebrow
	araneola:	kleine Spinne / small spider

Deutsch:
Im Rahmen ihrer umfangreichen Orchideenkartierung des Promontorio del Gargano erwähnten LORENZ und GEMBARDT 1987 diese sehr kleinblütige Ophrys, die schon im April auf den fast kahlen Kuppen zwischen Coppa di Mezzo und Monte Spigno in etwa 900 m Höhe blüht. Sie scheint mit keiner anderen mir bekannten Art identisch zu sein.

In GIROS Notizie 20 (2002) wird sie auf Seite 11 allerdings als Ophrys virescens bezeichnet, eine Zuordung, mit der ich nicht einverstanden bin. Eher könnte es sich hier um die in Kroatien ebenfalls früh blühende Ophrys tommasinii handeln.

English:
In the context of their orchid mapping of the Promontorio del Gargano in 1987 LORENZ and GEMBARDT mentioned this very small flowered Ophrys, which is already in flower in April on the nearly bald crests between Coppa di Mezzo and Monte Spigno in an altitude of approximately 900 m. It doesn't seem to be identical with any other species which I know.

However in GIROS Notizie 20 (2002) on page 11 it is called Ophrys virescens, to which I can't agree. It could rather be identical with Ophrys tommasinii, which is also early in flower in Croatia.
