Helmut PRESSER found this kind of plants in the South of Spain, too. The Spanisch orchids have been described by VENHUIS, VENHUIS and ELLIS-ADAM in Anales del Jardín Botánico de Madrid 63(2) (July-December 2006): 131-143 as Serapias occidentalis, a name which is a synonyme of the older name Serapias lorenziana. In the article they compare Serapias occidentalis with Serapias cordigera, Serapias perez-chiscanoi, Serapias vomeracea, etc., but not with Serapias lorenziana.
