With its long labellum Ophrys lunulata can hardly be confused. It is only growing in Sicily. According to PAULUS and GACK (1990 in Jber.naturwiss.Ver.Wuppertal 43) Ophrys lunulata is pollinated by the mason bee Osmia kohli.
