European Orchids generally:

• Delforge, Pierre (1994), Guide des Orchidées d'Europe, d'Afrique du Nord et du Proche Orient, Lausanne (Delachaux & Niestle)
  The names of the orchids are taken out of this book, as far as contained. But I think, several orchids should be beared as subspecies instead of species, e.g. Dactylorhiza ericetorum, Orchis picta, etc. In between two extended editions 2001 and 2005 are available.

  Forum for discussions about European orchids, in German language.

  One of the best French sites about 6 departements of the Provence, and the biggest collection of links on orchid sites world-wide which I know, but there are many broken links, too.

Hybrids of European Orchids:

• Danesch, O.& E. (1972), Orchideen Europas: Ophrys-Hybriden, Bern (Hallwag)
  Rather old, containing some faulty determinations, but still fascinating, and still the standard book.
  In 2000 I was glad to get it via the web from a dutch antiquary for about 37 euro.
• www.orchis.de (Zelesny & Wössner)
  The 'Photographic archieves' are containing many hybrids of European Orchids with parents,
  in 'A little theory' there is a short introduction to several aspects of European Orchids.
