Some Plants of the Lava Rocks of Idar-Oberstein in the Nahe Valley

The mountain in the Nahe Valley at Idar-Oberstein consists of volcanic rock. The southern exposed slopes which can become very warm in summer as well as the northern exposed slopes which are shadowy most time of the day are forming extreme biotopes with own plant societies.
