Vorige Art/previous species (Left arrowball from Animation City 1991)     Circaea glabrescens  (PAMP.) HAND.-MAZZ.  ?     Nächste Art/next species (Right arrowball from Animation City 1991)

Fam.: Onagraceae / Willowherb Fam.

Genus:  Circaea  L.

Authors:
PAMP.:  Renato Pampanini (1875 - 1949), Italian botanist
   HAND.-MAZZ.:  Heinrich von Handel-Mazzetti (1882 - 1940), Austrian botanist
L.:  Carl von Linné (Linnaeus, 1707 - 1777), Swedish naturalist who introduced the binary naming system for plants and animals

Etymology:
Circaea:   Greek plant name, from the sorceress Circe
   glabrescens:   becoming glabrous

Several of these plants of Asian origin were found on deposed soil at a wood edge near Mannheim-Friedrichsfeld (Germany). I couldn't determine the species surely yet.
