Because of a confusion going back to Linné's times in the 18th century, Crepis pyrenaica (L.) GREUTER and Crepis blattarioides (L.) VILL. had to change their names in recent years, the problem was corrected by the Spanish botanists TALAVERA et al. in an article in Taxon 63 (5): 1124 - 1129 (2014). Crepis pyrenaica is already the new name of the species shown, the most important attribute of which are the very short and tight outer bracts, compared with the inner ones. In Crepis blattarioides, the outer bracts are of about same lenght than the inner ones, and distant. | ||
