Important attributes of Gagea pratensis: long narrow petals, at the onset of the bracts often woolly hairy, lowest stem leaf usually longer than inflorescence.
Base of stem and basic leaves near the ground often tinged with red. Basic leaves about 5 mm wide, at the underside considerably carinate, with relative short hood tip.
Juvenile leaves are thread-like. The bulb has two dauhter bulbs.
