   KUNTH:  Karl Sigismund Kunth (1788 - 1850), German botanist who described many of the plants which HUMBOLDT brought from Southern America
   P.H.RAVEN:  Peter Hamilton Raven (1936 - ), botanist in USA
   L.:  Carl von Linné (Linnaeus, 1707 - 1777), Swedish naturalist who introduced the binary naming system for plants and animals
 

Etymology:
   Ludwigia:   Christian Gottlieb Ludwig (1709 - 1773), German physician and botanist (LUDW. )
   peploides:   similar to Euphorbia peplus
 

Years after I took a photo of Ludwigia hexapetala in Camargue I recognized that single Ludwigia peploides with shorter leaves and smaller brigher flowers can be seen. Here the clippings showing Ludwigia peploides can be seen, and between these parts of the long narrow leaves of Ludwigia hexapetala, which's page contains the mentioned photo.
