Oenothera pycnocarpa hat kleine Blüten auf einem oft ziemlich langen Hypanthium von bis zu 40 mm. Sie besitzt grüne Knospen mit langen Kelchzipfeln, der Stängel ist aber rot punktiert, der untere Teil des Stängels kann auch rot überlaufen sein. Die lanzettlichen Blätter haben nach der Beschreibung rot überlaufene Nerven, es wurden aber öfter Pflanzen mit weißer Mittelrippe gefunden. Die Kapseln sind relativ schlank. Die Art stammt aus Nordamerika. Oenothera pycnocarpa has small blossoms on a often rather long hypanthium of up to 40 mm. It has green buds with long calyx tips, the upper part of its stem can carry red dots and the lower part can even be tincted with red. According to the description the laceolate leaves have red tinged nerves, but plants with white midrip have been found, too. The capsules are rather narrow. The origin of the species is North America. | ||
