in eckigen Klammern [ ] angegeben.

The Ranunculus auricomus aggregate consists of many different apomictic
and therefore rather isolated microspecies.
I couldn't determine yet this dainty Goldilocks with incomplete blossoms from a relatively dry beech wood near Fürth-Seidenbach in the Odenwald mountains.
According to the group classification on page 51 of
Borchers-Kolb, E. (1985), Ranunculus sect. auricomus in Bayern und den angrenzenden Gebieten II Spezieller Teil, Mitt. Bot. München 21: 49-300,
which is based on the division level, the width of the basale cove and the section shape of the leaves, it could most likely belong to the alsaticus group.
Striking is the middle spring leaf with its deeply divided segments, at which the tips of the segments are still rather rounded.
The earlier leaves have completely rounded leaf tips.
In Franconian beech woods I have seen similar leaf forms, however the side lobes of the middle spring leaves weren't divided so deeply.
Most of the microspecies generate a series of seven different forms of basal leaves in spring, as well as a summer leaf, which again has a different form.
The two or three middle ones of the spring leaves, which have the most complexe forms of all these leaves, shall be sufficient for determination of the species.
However most single plants are not developing all types of leaves, especially weak plants are often lacking the most complex middle ones of the spring leaves,
this may impede the determination.
If it was possible to determine the generation of shown leaves, the number is given in
square brackets [ ].
