Rosa: | Roman name of the rose, from (Greek) rhodon = rose | ||
The nerves on the underside of the leaves are hairy, the lateral nerves and the leaf edges carry few glands, too. The sepals are usually close-fitting, most are falling off at fruiting time. The fruit is thick and rounded, with short petiole. The site is on lithographic limestone. Is this Rosa corymbifera ? | ||
