Etymology:
   Scilla:   Greek name of the Sea Squill Charybdis maritima
   amoena:   lovely
   Othocallis:   otheo = to push, callis = beauty
 

Scilla amoena originates from Turkey. In Central Europe it is later in flower than the other Scilla species.
