Die hier gezeigten Zwischenformen zwischen Senecio hercynicus und Senecio ovatus sind im allgemeinen keine Primärhybriden, sondern intermediäre Populationen und Hybridschwärme. In den meisten Fällen, wie z.B. bei den Pflanzen vom Schwarzwald in Südwest-Deutschland, dominieren die Eigenschaften von Senecio ovatus, das auch viel häufiger ist.
