This Michaelmas Daisy is growing at Mannheim directly beneath a Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, but it is completely withered when the latter is still in flower. In principle it looks as Symphyotrichum lanceolatum beneath it, but it is clearly smaller flowered, its calyx has only the half diameter of that of Symphyotrichum lanceolatum. It has also smaller leaves. | ||
