This artificial hybrid has been breeded in 1936 by the Canadian grower Isabella PRESTON, which explains both the German name Kanadischer Flieder (i.e. Canadian Lilac) as well as the English name Preston Lilac. The parents Syringa reflexa and Syringa villosa originate from different regions of China. | ||
