The outer yellow petals of Tragopogon pratensis subsp. orientalis are longer than the green sepals, while at Tragopogon pratensis subsp. pratensis they have about the same length. At Tragopogon pratensis subsp. minor and Tragopogon dubius the yellow petals are considerably shorter than the green sepals. The stamens of Tragopogon pratensis subsp. orientalis have vertical brown stripes, while the stamens of the other species are totally brown in their upper parts. | ||
