Etymology:
	Ophrys:		Greek plant name, from ophrys = eyebrow
	provincialis:		from the Provence (France)

Deutsch: Eine Orchidee Südost-Frankreichs ist die in der Provence und in den östlichsten Teilen des Languedoc verbreitete Ophrys provincialis. Da ihr Bestäuber eine Pelzbiene ist, nämlich Anthophora atriceps, erwägt PAULUS in Jour.Eur.Orch.31(2), dass Ophrys provincialis eventuell von einer Art der argolica-Gruppe abstammen könnte, zum Beispiel von Ophrys morisii aus Korsika oder Ophrys crabronifera aus der Toskana.

English: Ophrys provincialis is an orchid of southeastern France, distributed in the Provence and in the most eastern parts of the Languedoc. Since its pollinating insect is Anthophora atriceps, PAULUS and GACK in Jour.Eur.Orch.31(2) are wondering, whether Ophrys provincialis has descended from a species of the argolica-group, which in most cases are pollinated by bees of genus Anthophora, for example Ophrys morisii from Corse or Ophrys crabronifera from Tuscany.
