Der Garten-Fuchsschwanz stammt aus Südamerika. Als Gartenblume wurde er in viele Teile der Welt exportiert, in manchen Ländern werden Teile der Pflanze wie Samen und Blätter auch gegessen. Die Pflanze lässt sich aus den Samen leicht vermehren. Auch die Gartenform auf den letzten Fotos vermehrt sich jedes Jahr sorten-echt, nicht nur im Garten, sondern auch in Pflasterfugen außerhalb.

The origin of Love Lies Bleeding is South America. As ornamental plant it has been exported into many countries of the world, and in some countries parts of the plant as seed and leaves are eaten. Propagation from seed is easy. Also the garden form of the last photos propagates every year as the year before, not only in the garden but also in pavement gaps outside.
