Bassia und Kochia wurden früher als getrennte Gattungen innerhalb der Familie der Gänsefußgewächse betrachtet. Sie sind über mehrere Kontinente verbreitet. Vor einigen Jahren wurden zwischen den beiden Gattungen stehende Arten entdeckt, was nahelegte, beide in einer Gattung zu vereinigen. Formerly Bassia and Kochia have been considered as separate genus within the Goosefoot family. They are growing wide-spead over several continents. Some years ago intermediate species have been found, this suggested to unite the two genus. | ||
