Die Blätter der Gruppe der Drüsigen Weidenröschen sind feiner gesägt als bei anderen Weidenröschen mit gesägten Blatträndern. Wie Epilobium brachycarpum ist auch die Gruppe der Drüsigen Weidenröschen Epilobium ciliatum, Epilobium adenocaulon und Epilobium glandulosum Einwanderer aus Amerika.
