Es gibt eine Doppelgänger-Art von Euphorbia sintenisii: Euphorbia arguta BANKS & SOL. Die 'Illustrated Flora of North Cyprus' von D. E. Viney nennt als Unterschied nur, dass Euphorbia arguta behaarte Samen besitzt. Fotos im Internet zeigen, dass Euphorbia arguta auch im oberen Stängelbereich behaart ist, was bei der von mir fotografierten Population nicht der Fall ist. Deshalb bin ich ziemlich sicher, dass es sich hier im Euphorbia sintenisii handelt, die in Zypern auch häufiger und weiter verbreitet ist als Euphorbia arguta.

Photos in the internet show that Euphorbia arguta is also hairy in the upper stem region, which is not the case in the population I photographed. Therefore, I am fairly sure that the shown plant is Euphorbia sintenisii, which in Cyprus is also more frequent and widespread than Euphorbia arguta.
