Hylotelephium spectabile stammt aus China und Korea, während Hylotelephium telephium in Mitteleuropa einheimisch ist. Die gärtnerische Hybride zwischen beiden ist in der Sorte 'Herbstfreude' als Zierpflanze ziemlich verbreitet. Die Hybride kann von der Eltern-Art Hylotelephium spectabile daran unterschieden werden, dass ihre Staubbeutel verkümmert sind. Recht häufig werden auch Verwilderungen der Hybride gefunden. Ob diese alle aus Gartenauswurf stammen oder ob die Hybride sich doch vermehren kann, weiß ich nicht.

The horticultural hybrid between the two in the sort 'Herbstfreude' (autumn joy) is quite common as an ornamental plant. The hybrid can be distinguished from the parent species Hylotelephium spectabile by the fact that its anthers are vestigial. Quite often the hybrid is also found running wild. I don't know whether these come all from garden discards or whether the hybrid can reproduce.
