Oenanthe javanica riecht ähnlich wie Petersilie und wird als Küchenkraut verwendet. In seiner Heimat ist es eine Pflanze eher feuchterer Standorte. Sie kann sich vegetativ zahlreich vermehren, wie am Fundort entlang eines Radwegs bei Sprockhövel zu sehen ist.

Oenanthe javanica smells similar to Parsley and is used as a culinary herb. In its native habitat, it is a plant of rather humid locations. It can reproduce vegetatively in large numbers, as at the site where it grows along a bike path near Sprockhövel.
