Diese Pflanze fand ich in großer Zahl am Nord-Ufer des Sees Lough Caragh im irischen County Kerry. Es ist keine europäische Pflanze, sondern eines der 'Blaue-Augen-Gräser' aus einer Gruppe primitiver Iris aus Nordamerika. Doch wie bei der Orchidee Spiranthes romanzoffiana wird diskutiert,  ob Sisyrinchium bermudiana auf natürliche Weise nach Irland eingewandert sein könnte.

This plant grows in big numbers at the Northern shore of the lake Lough Caragh, County Kerry, Ireland. It is not a European plant, but one of the Blue-Eyed Grasses out of a group of primitive Iris from Northern America. However, as with the orchid Spiranthes romanzoffiana  there is debate whether Sisyrinchium bermudiana could have invaded Ireland on the natural way.
