Plants of sandy areas at Bitche (Lorraine, France)
At suitable locations in the sandy area around Bitche much more rare plants can still be found than in our region on the remaining inland dunes of the Upper Rhine Valley. It is important that the sand remains open and is not covered by closed vegetation or even shrubs, but a very extensive use of the sites is asked. Ideally, this is the case in rarely used tank tracks of military training areas.
