Genus:  Dianthus  L.

Dianthus balbisii is the same plant which TUTIN in Flora Europaea Vol. 1 calls Dianthus ferrugineus subsp. ferrugineus, but different from Dianthus ferrugineus MILL. It is perennial and has wide leaves with long sheaths.
