Dianthus legionensis is growing on dry calcareous plateaus in the interior of Spain. The species was described from the province of Leon, but it occurs also more South and East. Other authors handled it as subspecies of Dianthus lusitanus, Dianthus scaber, and Dianthus toletanus. The bottom side of the petals is looking greenish. |
