Fumana ericifolia has particularly long, slender leaves, and no secondary leaves.
The plant is somewhat hairy, at least in the upper part. The flower stalks only bear one flower.
The plants which I photographed in Liguria are matching very good for Fumana ericifolia, some hairs can also be seen in the original photos of the images shown in this site.
In many older publications Fumana ericifolia is not differentiated from Fumana ericoides.
