Genus:  Linaria  MILL.

The plants of the Linaria bipartita agg. are horticultural hybrids of the Moroccan species Linaria bipartita, Linaria maroccana and possibly other species, which are offered as parts of seed mixtures for embankment planting, field margin stripes, etc. The spur of the flowers is particularly long. Occasionally one finds feral specimens where no sowing has taken place. The name 'bipartita' refers to the bipartial cloven lip. The pure Moroccan species mentioned above are hardly available in Europe, only the horticultural hybrids.
