Oenothera drawertii hat schmale Blätter mit weißen Nerven an einem rot getupften und unten auch rot überlaufenen Stängel, und ist weißlich behaart. Wie bei Oenothera fallax und Oenothera depressa sind die Knospen rot gestreift. Für die Oberrheinische Tiefebene wurde Oenothera drawertii 2014 erstmals durch H. Kiesewetter und M. Hassler identifiziert, eine Publikation ist in Vorbereitung. Doch möglicherweise wird die Publikation gar nicht mehr fertiggestellt werden, da sich die Beschreibung der Nachtkerzen in vielen einzelnen Arten als Sackgasse erwiesen hat. Es wird angenommen, dass sie in Europa als Hybride zwischen Oenothera depressa und Oenothera suaveolens entstanden ist.

Oenothera drawertii has narrow leaves with white nerves at a red spotted and in the lower part red tinged stem, and has whitish pilosity. The buds are red striped as in Oenothera fallax and Oenothera depressa. For the Upper Rhine Valley Oenothera drawertii has been identified first by H. Kiesewetter and M. Hassler in 2014, a publication is in preparation. However, the publication may not be completed at all, as the description of the Evening Primroses in many individual species has proven to be a dead end. It is assumed that it came into being in Europe as hybrid between Oenothera depressa and Oenothera suaveolens.
