Genus:  Solenopsis  C.PRESL,  Lobularia  DESV.

Solenopsis bivonae does not only occur in Cyprus, but also in Italy, Sicily and probably Sardinia, as well as in Lebanon. In 2023, the Cypriot plants were separated as Solenopsis meikleana BRULLO, C.BRULLO, CAMBRIA, V.TOMAS., MINISS. & GIUSSO, but in the opinion of the editors of the website Flora of Cyprus - a dynamic checklist this is currently not justified and requires further investigation.
