Diese Herbstaster wächst in Mannheim direkt neben Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, ist aber zu deren Blütezeit bereits völlig verblüht. Im Prinzip sieht sie aus wie Symphyotrichum lanceolatum daneben, aber sie ist deutlich kleinblütiger, ihr Kelch hat nur den halben Durchmesser des Kelchs von Symphyotrichum lanceolatum. Sie ist auch kleinblättriger.

This Michaelmas Daisy is growing at Mannheim directly beneath a Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, but it is completely withered when the latter is still in flower. In principle it looks as Symphyotrichum lanceolatum beneath it, but it is clearly smaller flowered, its calyx has only the half diameter of that of Symphyotrichum lanceolatum. It has also smaller leaves.
