Photos of all species of orchids of the European flora region, which I have seen, are shown here, as well as photos of more species from friends. Currently you can choose from 8259 images of 709 species, subspecies, varieties and forms of 36 genera. For some species an already available ready page is referenced, of other species the photos are on-line combined to a simple page.

In order to keep the track despite many newer orchid names, at extensive genera I added information on sub-sections resp. groups, and at all orchids the countries and islands where the images have been taken.

The left column of the species selection pages offers a preview of an image of the species to which the cursor is currently pointing, respectively had previously been pointed. Condition is that Javascript is enabled in your browser. For viewing of the plant photo pages a browser window of about 1000 pixels width is recommended.
