Ophrys tommasinii has been described in April 1851 from the small northern Croatian island
Sveti Petar near Lošinj (former Italian name: Lussin) by VISIANI.
In Jour.Eur.Orch.34(3) HERTEL (2002) mentions starting of flower in Istria for
middle of April. The four images from the island of Cres are showing Ophrys tommasinii
